Adult Immunizations

Recommended immunizations for adults include:

  • Flu – protects against influenza
  • Hep A – protects against Hepatitis A
  • Hep B – protects against hepatitis B
  • Hib – protects against Haemophilus Influenza type b
  • HPV – protects against Human papillomavirus
  • MMR – protects against measles, mumps and rubella
  • PCV- protects against pneumococcal
  • Td/Tdap – protects against diphtheria and tetanus

 

Communicable Disease Investigation

  • Sexually transmitted disease services
  • Tuberculosis (TB) services
  • HIV/AIDS services

 

Family Planning Services

Family Planning services are available for males and females and include;

  • Reproductive health
  • Contraception or “birth control”
  • Basic infertility services
  • Reproductive life planning
  • Sexually transmitted infections
  • Physical exams
  • Cervical cancer screening for women
  • Breast/testicular cancer screening
  • Sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment
  • Pregnancy testing

 

Our Health Department’s Family Planning Program offers the following contraceptives:

  • IUC (Intrauterine Contraceptive)
  • Implants
  • Injectable: “The Shot”
  • Oral Contraceptive: “The Pill”
  • The Patch
  • Vaginal Ring
  • Barrier Methods: Diaphragm, cervical cap, sponge, female condom
  • Condom: Male & Female
  • Spermicide
  • Natural Family Planning: Cycle Beads
  • Emergency Contraception
  • Permanent Sterilization: No-Scalpel Vasectomy, Tubal Ligation
